Shannon;
So sorry to hear about Roberta Edging…I’ll surely keep her in my prayers. Also Wishing Eddy And Sally all the best on what would have been their 70 Wedding Anniversary…God bless them both. It’s sad just thinking they are no longer with us. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Pollard family. Don Stewart
Let me apologize for being late regarding the anniversary of Eddy and Sally Arnold. I am so sorry, but I have spent the last week fighting a cold and flu.
There are bad marriaged(unfortunately), marriages, good marriages, and great marriages. Then, as the saying goes, there are some marriages made in Heaven. To have this special kind of marriage takes a man and a woman who are of high character; have high moral standards; have a deep sense of responsibility (we all know there is a lot of responsibility in a marriage) and strong committment; and who are right for each other and share that special kind of love for each other. This kind of marriage is rare, especially now days, but I feel that this describes Eddy and Sally Arnold to a T. They were perfect for each other, loved each other in that rare, special way, and were committed to each other and to their family. Eddy and Sally Arnold were the picture of that marriage made in Heaven. They are the ideal example of what a marriage should be.
Folks like me, who were not privileged to personally know the Arnolds, were still familiar with Eddy Arnold (the public figure in the family) and his reputation as an absolute gentleman in every sense of the word. My late pastor once said that if you want to really know about a man, look at his family. Looking at their children and grandchildren, one can’t help but see a testimony to Eddy and Sally Arnold. They worked together as a team with that committment to family, and it shows. Their great-grand children are probably a cut above their peers. When it comes to rearing a family, Eddy and Sally deserve praise for “a job well done”.
Eddy and Sally Arnold were wonderful people, and are greatly missed.
